![]() It will be fully included in the future versions of this program.Update, 1 Sept 06: The steps below work only for CDs, but not for DVDs. The only exception is the multi-session support, which is under active development. It can do things that many commercial applications can't. In conclusion: SimplyBurns is simply amazing for a free tool. Pluses: it has support for many disc burning related activities, it can save the projects on the hard disk by treating them as documents, you can create and edit more than one project, the application has all kind of useful features.ĭrawbacks / flaws: the multi-session support is not available for all the supported file systems, the only file system that actually supports multi-session writing mode, the HFS+, won't work every time. So far, only the HFS+ file system supports this mode, but I couldn't burn more than one session onto the DVD-RW that I used for the burning tests. The producer promised multi-session support for the Data Disc burning mode. The file system from the copied disc is the same as the one from the image. SimplyBurns also has the support for ISO and CUE/BIN as disc images. The image-burning module supports DMG disk images as source. ![]() You can rip either the whole disc or just the tracks that you like. The Rip Disc functionality allows you to pick and rip the tracks from an Audio CD. ![]() It rips a disc image from the original disc, and then the application asks you to supply a blank disc in order to burn a copy of that image. The 1:1 Copy mode gives you the possibility to make exact copies of your discs. The TAO mode supports the multi-session mode. It gives you the possibility to burn the compilation as DAO (Disc At Once) or as TAO (Track At Once), depending on your needs. It is restricted to Audio CD only, thus you won't be able to burn Audio DVDs. The UNIX-like operating systems might recognize this file system, but this depends on the support that has been implemented by the producer. Since Windows can't read HFS+ because it doesn't have drivers for this file system, maybe you shouldn't use this if you intend to use it under Windows too. Using the HFS+ file system is restricted by the intended usage of the disc. There are available several file systems such as, HFS+, ISO9660+Joliet, ISO9660+Joliet and HFS+ (hybrid) and a file system dedicated for DVD-ROM, UDF+ISO9660. The Data disc-burning mode gives you the possibility to pick the file system that would be used for your disc. In order to reopen the Starting Points panel, the one that welcomes you when you would start the application, you need to go to the application's menu, pick from the 'File' menu the option 'New' or hit the dedicated hot-key combination: 'Command (Apple)+N'. This thing has another great implication: you can create multiple projects at the same time, and work with them at the same time. This means that every project is and can be saved on your Macintosh HD as a document, which can be opened and edited anytime later. This project-working mode is the thing that I like most about this application, besides the strong amount of features. This panel also gives you the possibility to open an existing project. The panel that lets you to choose the operating mode, has multiple items, like Data - which is dedicated for data CD/DVD burnings, Audio - which burns Audio CDs, 1:1 Copy - which clones the discs, Rip Disk - which is an Audio CD ripper, and Burn Image - a module which can burn several types of disks or disk images. The first window that welcomes you, when you want to burn something with this application, is a panel that lets you choose the operating mode. I have tested other burning tools around here, such as Quick Burn or CD Session Burner, but SimplyBurns has by far more features than these other tools. SimplyBurns is an Open Source application that can do several disc burning related tasks.

When it comes to 3D, After Effects allows you to route 3D elements into your footage, but it also brings with it a 3D renderer that acknowledges inputs on all three dimensions (X, Y, and Z) so you can produce 3D elements from the beginning. While Premiere Pro has practically no camera tracking feature, the only thing you can do is to pixelate objects and faces. With the assistance of 3D tracking and built-in planar, After Effects allows you to composite objects and titles onto your 2D footage then alter their movement in such a way that they look completely natural to the scene. Camera tracking is another feature where After Effects has the edge over Premiere Pro.After Effects also brings with it a staunch graph display which allows you to fine-tune the direction and speed of your elements in a smooth and accurate manner. The After Effects interface makes it possible to achieve this because of its lucidity, which helps deal with the complicated and sometimes exacting job of keyframing. While it is completely feasible to keyframe in Premiere Pro, it is much easier with After Effects, and you can attain superior outcomes. After Effects acknowledge any audio that comes with the optical media, but it does not have the potential to do anything with that audio and only helps with the increasing and decreasing of the volume. With Premiere Pro, you get the full range of audio editing tools such as audio editing/mending options, audio mixing, stylish sound effects, volume controls, auto-ducking, etc.So it will be difficult to use After Effects for any media-rich or long-form projects. Alice found it very easy to simply look at most of the animals in the zoo as just that, animals. She loved their pets, but probably because they were her responsibility, and that bred attachment. If Alice was being honest, she wasn't all that big on animals in general. "Yeah, I guess." They were cute, she had no problem admitting that, but Alice wasn't big on cute animals, actually. ![]() "Aren't they cute?" Alyss asked, as one of the babies tripped and fumbled for a few moments to get back up on its feet.Īlice shrugged. But, well, that was Alyss at the zoo, and the aquarium, and the botanical gardens, and almost everywhere, really. Alice thought she looked like a five year old, with her face pressed up to the glass in open excitement, and her eyes twinkling. Then her eyes were quickly back on the penguins. "Have you been here this whole time?" Alice asked, not really interested in knowing, but more than willing to let her presence be known.Īlyss looked at her with wide sparkling eyes, and nodded in excitement. Alice frowned, rubbed her arms to keep out the cold, and walked over to her sister. Alyss was standing by the exhibit's glass walls, looking at the little balls of fluff as they waddled around their little icy encampment. Alice had almost given up on finding Alyss, and had wandered over to one of the many food court at the zoo for a well deserved snack, when she happened to see a mane of white hair in the distance.įollowing the very obvious sign, Alice came to the penguin exhibit with some form of confusion. ![]() In fact, Alice had visited the Lions, Tigers, Bobcats, and Mountain Lions first in search of her elusive sister, to no avail, though she had spent some extra time at the Tiger show, and had really enjoyed it. Alyss's interests changed from a minute by minute basis, and Alice just tried to keep track of overreaching trends, before she got distracted. This was characteristically unexpected on her part, since Alice was pretty sure that Alyss was most fond of cats. Regardless of who had done the wandering from one place to another, it ended up being Alice who found Alyss, so it really didn't matter.Īlice found her older sister at, of all places, the penguin exhibit. They both did quite a bit of wandering, if Alice was being honest. Alice did remember a particularly tempting burger calling her name at some point, and there really wasn't much she could have done about the situation to stay with her sister, but to be fair, Alyss was just as prone to following her fancies. Alyss wandered away from her at some point, or perhaps it was Alice that wandered away. ![]() □ Full moon occurs when we can see the entire lit portion of the Moon. It occurs approximately a week after new moon. □ First quarter moon occurs when half of the lit portion of the Moon is visible after the waxing crescent phase. ![]() □ Waxing crescent moon occurs when the Moon looks like crescent and the crescent increases ("waxes") in size from one day to the next. A solar eclipse can only happen at new moon. The new moon phase occurs when the Moon is directly between the Earth and Sun. □ New moon occurs when the Moon cannot be seen because we are looking at the unlit half of the Moon. The 4 main phases are New Moon, First Quarter, Full Moon, Last Quarter. Wondering what's the moon phase today? The moon rotates around the Earth every 29.5 days in an elliptical shape, and due to lunar apogee and perigee, each quarter phase can vary slightly in duration, but is commonly approximated at 7.4 days. As such, illumination can vary from 0% (new moon) to 100% (full moon). Various factors determine moon phase such as the position of the moon in its orbit, the Earth's position around the Sun shift, and the age of the moon in its synodic month. Lunar phases gradually change over the next 29.53 days, also known as a synodic month. The phase of the moon is bascially the shape of the sunlit portion as viewed from Earth. Since the timespan between moonrises and moonsets is a little longer than 24 hours, some days may just miss the cutoff and not have a rise or set that day. On some days, the Moon may not rise or set due to the fact that the moon is constantly in motion. Please note that time and direction of moonrise/moonset differs if there are mountains or other obstacles in the way, as we assume a flat surface with no obstructions. Moonrise and moonset can vary, and are based on the geographic Latitude and Longitude. Moonset occurs when the upper edge of the Moon's disk touches the horizon. Moonset is typically defined as the instant when the moon is no longer visible in the horizon. They will bring a variety of telescopes and point them towards the skies to offer an up-close and in-depth look at the supermoon eclipse.Closeup of the moon © / Gudella Moonrise is typically defined as the first appearance of the moon over the Earth's eastern horizon, or when the upper edge of the Moon's disk touches the horizon. It’s happening early enough in the evening that many people will be able to see it. There is another nice thing about this eclipse in particular. This eclipse is happening at time when the moon is nearest to earth, making it appear larger and brighter. “There are times in the moon’s orbit where it’s a little bit closer to the earth.” “The moon’s orbit is not exactly circular,” Dr. So what makes this eclipse even more super? The only time the moon goes into the shadow is during an eclipse,” he explains. A lot of people think that the moon goes through phases because it’s going into the earth’s shadow, but that’s not the case. “A curved shadow moving slowly across the moon. It was worth the trip but I'd combine it with another activity to make it more worth while (we drove from Lahaina). The Tropical Plantation was really beautiful although the tram ride seemed a bit abbreviated. I would definitely do that activity again. We had many elderly and several physically handicapped people on our tour and there were no problems at all. Very impressive! We were worried about how to board the craft and how safe it might be, but those worries were quickly put to rest. The sub emerges from the open water just like the Red October. The submarine ride was really unique and we saw 4 sting rays very near to where we were, along with eels, and many tropical fish. This was a great activity and was better than expected. Make reservations for the restaurant especially if there are several busses in the parking lot, or you might want to come back on a different day. Once inside the large group that were dropped off by busses were not escorted, I was bumped several times while attempting to take a picture. I did not see anything in here that I have not seen at other aquariums on the east coast. The Maui Ocean center was nice but the flow of people needs to be improved. They really tried and I will give them five stars for effort, entertainment, and value. The crew was very entertaining and helped spot points of interest and attempted to make sure everyone saw the same things. I have ridden other Atlantis sub's before and this is by far the best I have ever ridden, even if you have done this it is worth the effort to see there's. If this was only rating the Atlantis submarine i would have given it 5 stars across the board but since I have to rate it all in one comment I had to drop the score.
